Come festive season and its time to play dress up. Navratri, Diwali and so many parties! oh, it’s festival galore!

What takes a normal festive outfit a notch higher is the jewellery it’s paired up with. Over the years I have found some great ways to wear my jewellery and have collected heaps of jewellery that I am planning to wear this festive season. Check out some of my favourite styles of jewellery.

That big Signature Piece

I love big, signature pieces of jewellery. Just wear that one piece and it will stand out, bold and beautiful. I usually turn to my large rings, or big jhumkis especially if I am wearing a really embellished outfit. When the outfit is already loud, I don’t want to overdo it with too many pieces of jewellery. Scream your style with that signature piece ladies!

The Minimalistic but Elegant Jewelry Set

The minimalistic sets are gorgeous! They look so elegant and chic. Small earrings, a sleek necklace and an elegantly set ring make for a perfect combination. They look great with gowns and simple yet elegant festive outfits.

And the more sparkly they are, the more I like them. If you like a little bling, the minimalistic sets are your thing. The lightweight makes it easy to wear them all day long.

The Traditional Indian Pieces

Those never go out of fashion! A lot of us have some really gorgeous pieces of Indian Jewelry. Heavy, well crafted, they ooze of tradition. They go so well with those heavy Kanjeevaram and Benarasi sarees. If you are married this style is perfect for Karwachauth or if you are attending a wedding. Traditional temple jewellery and polka and Kundan pieces fit right into this category. Earrings, necklaces, Maang Teekas and even traditional anklets look fabulous.

Those Pearly Whites

Pearls are for classy girls! I like them best with chiffon sarees and lacey drapes.

Minimalistic yet classy clothes go very well with pearls. Small pearl studs in the ears, a pearl necklace and you are good to go. If you are looking for jewellery to wear at work, pearls can be your best bet.

Chunky and Junky

Some women have a clever way to work chunky pieces into their look. Chunky jewellery comes in gorgeous colours and styles. It looks modern and gives the whole outfit a new age twist. Chunky jewellery can have necklaces, rings, earrings and can be teamed up with traditional and modern clothes.

Younger women can wear chunky pieces to college and office going women can wear them with discretion
